All About Me Bags - Back To School Getting to Know You:
These bags are a great way for everyone to learn some interesting things about each other during the first few weeks of the new school year! Students love it if the teacher gets involved too, to promote a sense of classroom community.
The pack includes both colour and B&W options, as well as A4 and A5 options, depending on the types of bags you wish to attach the note to.
I also love to take some notes while students share their bags, which not only helps in forming a connection, but can be a great talking point at 'Getting to Know You Parent Interviews' early in the year.

Stars and a Wish Templates - Identifying Strengths and Setting Goals:
These 'Stars & a Wish' templates are a wonderful first week activity to get to know your students! Students will record the things they believe to be their strength/things they are confident with, as well as one thing they may need to work towards or something they hope for the year ahead. I use these at various points of the year as a way for students to reflect on their successes and plan future learning goals.
There are two variations (either two or three stars) and come in colour and B&W options.

Find Someone Who...Interactive Getting to Know you Activity:
Get students up and moving with this simple 'getting to know you' activity, perfect for the first day of school. Using the template, students will interact with classmates to record the name of someone who matches the statement. Try to encourage students to record a different name for each box! Pictures assist younger students navigate the task more independently.
